It depends on the type of plant, but here's a simple rule you can follow: Water your plants when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry to the touch. 🌱
Signs of overwatering include yellowing leaves, mushy stems, and a damp or musty smell from the soil. If the soil stays wet for more than a week, reduce your watering frequency and make sure your pot has drainage holes. 💧
Most indoor plants thrive in bright, indirect light — near a window but away from direct harsh sun. Low-light plants like pothos and snake plants can do well in shadier spots, while succulents and cacti need as much direct sun as possible. ☀️
Brown leaf tips are usually a sign of low humidity, underwatering, or too much direct sun. Brown patches in the middle of the leaf may indicate overwatering or cold drafts. Try misting your plant regularly or placing a tray of water nearby to boost humidity. 🍂
